Twenty First Century Technology.. at Weddings!

When you think of a wedding, what do you think of? A bride in a flowing long white dress, tearful in-laws, and a nervous groom? Jittering bridesmaids, kids asking how long until cake, or beautiful vows?
Well at the next wedding you to go to, make sure to find out what social media platform you will be expected to use! Confused? The picture speaks louder than words..

My honest reaction? Fantastic!
If you don't embrace social media sooner rather than later, some may argue you will get left behind. Now I'm not saying you should omit your professional photographer for Instagram.. but if you are on a budget why not? Classic, styled, professional photos really do make incredible lasting memories.
But what about those moments no one could plan? You couldn't possibly take in every moment or capture every laughter; but with your team of guests armed with smart phones why not share the task?
A conversation with a recently married bride led to the admission she couldn't actually remember much of her wedding day! And no not because of alcohol consumption, but pure exhilaration.
While you wait weeks for your professional photos to be returned, take an hour to glance over the snapshots taken by your guests- my bet is you'll see new moments of your special day that completely passed you by before.

Just don't forget to let your guests know where to post the pictures!

Looking to share photos with family who couldn't make it? Is the boutique you bought your dress from wanting to see pictures of you and your gown on your big day? Upload your images to Flickr and share the love once more.
