An Xbox cake is probably the ideal cake for a good percentage of the men you know! Be it your brother, friend, or husband- it is a really simple but really effective cake to make.
This cake was for my brother's birthday party- more on his 'family' cake to follow.
There wasn't a huge crowd of boys so it didn't make sense to make the cake too big so I decided on a single tier.
This was a plain vanilla sponge, with a butter cream 'glue', topped in fondant. The grey buttons and vents were hand carved with extra fondant coloured in grey. I used a pearl spray on the cake to add shine to the Xbox, making it look a lot more realistic.
And realistic it must have been as the boys seemed addicted to it... as normal with an Xbox..
